This May, we will celebrate seventy-five years of service to our members. Things may have changed over those years, but one thing remains the same: we are here because of you! Join us at our 75th Annual Meeting, tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 29th. More details to follow. And, thank you members!
Coats for Christmas was a warm & cozy success! Through your generous donations, we were able to collect over 100 coats, hats, gloves, mittens, and sweaters, along with new packages of socks to directly benefit the Daily Planet, serving the homeless and underpriviledged community of Greater Richmond. Thank you members of RFCU and employees of Genworth!
Credit Union 24 has upgraded its ATM Locator with LocatorSearch to make it easier for members to access their funds. We think you will LOVE the new features that allow you to download directions right to your GPS device or send directions to your phone. ATM Locator enables you to find all ATMs, Surcharge Free ATMs, Full Service Locations and All Cash Dispensers within your defined set of address / zip code parameters. NEWS ALERT:
Consumers are reminded to be extremely cautious in sharing their personal financial information. Law enforcement and identity theft organizations note that new phishing attacks have struck financial institutions nationwide over the past two weeks, including institutions based in Virginia, with consumers receiving fraudulent text messages or automated phone calls.
If you have given out your personal information or account/card numbers after receiving a text message or phone call you now believe to be suspicious, you should contact your financial institution immediately for assistance.
Consumers are reminded:
Do not take the bait! Never disclose your financial or personal information in response to an unsolicited e-mail, text message or phone call, regardless of who sent it.
Never click on a link embedded in an unsolicited email, regardless of who sent it.
Verify the authenticity of a website before entering financial or personal information via that website by using the sites certificate of authority, such as VeriSign.
Go to a website using its specific Internet Protocol (IP) address rather than its web name.
Check your online accounts regularly for any suspicious activity.
Keep separate passwords for each account you have online.
Update anti-virus software weekly.
Install and run firewalls on your computer.
